One year, again

Tomorrow is a big day for us. I hope I am not jumping the gun in blogging about it just 12 hours early. But, as you know, things have a way of going the opposite as we want them to so I'm still not convinced the plan won't change before tomorrow.

Anyway, if you had told me it would take us a whole year from the day we put our house on the market to get to the closing of our new house, I would have said, "forget this!" It has been a very trying year but as I sit here and think of the past year, all I can say is I'm so thankful to serve a GOd who has my best interest in mind when making things happen (or not happen) in my life. Things rarely went the way we would have planned them over the past year but somehow I know things went the way they were supposed to. Let's just review the main points from the last year:

Aug 2013-house goes on the market

Dec 2013-house sells to the first person that actually walks thru the house. Yes, it took over 3 months to get anyone inside. And she had cash.

January 2014-move out of house, move in with Grandma next door and leave for a cruise the next day.

June 2014-school is finally over so we can go to NC. FInd a house we like, finally.

Aug 2014-after months of searching, and even longer working on paperwork, we can finally close on the house!

Shew!

And I'm going to end on that note because BRad just walked in and he's been gone all week and we miss him! =)
