blah blah blah

Well, another week without Brad is getting ready to start. Last week he ended up coming home a day early because they did all they could with the parts they had. I don't think it will be that way this week. I don't have much going on this week but I'll keep busy. Ryan has been testing me a lot this past week. Every time I turn around he is doing something he shouldn't be. And it is always when I am blow drying my hair or vacuuming and can't hear him!! He has been obsessed with toothpaste. One time he squeezed half of a bottle of Hannah's out in the sink. I am thankful he wasn't eating it, flouride isn't good for the boy! And he constantly wants to brush his teeth! And he has snuck into Hannah's room more than once and got in her make up. Yesterday he got most of his finger nails painted before I caught him! And now whenever he poops in his diaper he goes to the toilet and tries to put the poop in and flush it before I even know he has pooped! That usually results in poop on at least one thing it doesn't belong on! My mom is at Myrtle Beach with a friend and I am so jealous! I would love to be sitting on the beach right now! She deserves it. I just wish I was with her! I am getting ready to host my first monthly ladies meeting, in Nov. I can't wait. I've been planning it for weeks now. I made cute invitations so I'm hoping more ladies will come this time. Another thing I am happy about, I am done with children's church for awhile! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the teaching but I hate missing sunday school, the preaching service and we have missed several Wed services with sick kids or flu shot appts. I am feeling spiritually malnourished! Sunday evenings Hannah sits out with us and I can't concentrate with her talking to me and moving around. Well, I am in the process of bidding on some books for my favorite little niece Kara so I better get.

Brad-less and videos of Ryan

Today Brad started an out of town job that will probably last thru the end of the year. He will be gone Mon-Thur every week until they fix or put in (not sure what he's doing actually) this elevator. I am already depressed. I hate not having anything to look forward to except the kids' bedtime! My mind plays crazy tricks on me in the evenings when I am alone also!! But I did keep myself busy today by wiping down walls and cleaning the laundry room/dog room spotless and other things but those were my two big tasks today. Ryan was surprisingly good too. I couldn't get any cartoons to come on the tv so we just kept it off all day and he played moonsand and wore Hannah's rollerblades around the house most of the morning. We did actually get to go outside after supper. It turned out pretty nice, the sun was out all day. It is supposed to get better this week so I'll be taking the kids outside probably a couple more times before winter sets in. I also was looking back thru some home videos that I have taken on my camera I found the very first ones I took of Ryan when he was an infant. I had forgotten all about them and I broke down and cried. I miss those days so much. It is hard to remember much about those days. I wish I had some videos from when Hannah was a baby, but I don't!! I also realized just how much I want that again. I'll try to post it on here for you guys.

another day

At Hannah's school they have a behavior code and each day the kids get a color on their calendar for their behavior that day. Green means good behavior and there is blue which I think means they got a warning and maybe red which means talk to parents. I don't know all the colors because Hannah has had green every day........until yesterday! She told me her friends were making her turn around during story time and she tried to tell the teacher but she didn't hear her. But then when I was looking in her folder it said she was talking and playing during math. She was crying and was really sad that she had gotten in trouble. I told her it better not happen again or she'd be in big trouble.

Other than that, not much going on here. I think we can really say good bye to the warm weather! I don't like it at all! It shouldn't be this cold already and I have heard we are going to have a bad winter but I have also heard we are going to have a mild winter. I hope it's mild!

it's finally here!

We finally got the laptop today!! It's really nice but not much different than any other laptop! I'm just glad I can communicate with the outside world again! That's been kinda hard lately.

Sammy had surgery today. She had a lipoma in her groin area that needed to come off. We've known about it for a year but like a bad pet owner, I put it off for awhile. It just kept growing and so I just decided it had to be done. Now she is wearing an e-collar so she doesn't lick or chew at the stitches. This should be a fun 2 weeks!! She can't do anything easily with that e-collar on. Poor girl. Hopefully she won't get anymore lipomas that need removed. But I do kinda enjoy babying her some and giving her special attention. If you want to see a pic you have to go to facebook b/c I don't feel like uploading them twice!

Nothing else new around here. I stayed up later than I have been and I am tired!! Night y'all.

This will only take a minute!

The computer is working for a change so I thought I'd take a minute to update everyone on my week.

We ordered a new laptop, we customized it so it is taking longer than normal to get it. I can't wait to have it in my arms! =)

The temperature has made a dramatic change this week. My body is not ready to handle the 60's! After spending the summer having the air set on 75-77 degrees, I am having a hard time adjusting to the heat being set on 70! I have been sleeping in my long johns and had to get an extra blanket out. I am not ready for the huge winter heating bills to be back. Last winter in was $450 at it's highest. This summer it has been between $60-$70. That's a huge difference!

When Hannah gets out of school today we are going to be taking the kids to mamaw's to spend the night. Tonight is out annual church retreat. All couples are willing to participate. We are going to Twin Falls State Park this time. I think this year we will have the smallest group, about 5 or 6 couples. But it will still be nice to have some good Christian fellowshio outside the church.

oh yeah, Hannah finally lost her tooth yesterday. She was so worried about it hurting so she never let me mess with it. It drove me crazy at first but I let it go and she eventually pulled it out herself. So I told her to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy. I knew it was going to be tricky playing the tooth fairy because she ALWAYS wakes up when I go into her room at night. So I made Brad go in with me just in case she woke up, I could hide and he could say he was just checking on her or something. Well, she stirred some but she didn't wake up! This morning she was so happy to see that dollar! She kept saying " I knew the tooth fairy was real!" She also told me that she thought she saw her because she opened her eyes at one time and saw pink. I was thinking "what a liar!" =) But I didn't say anything.

That is all that I can think of right now.
