packing, packing and more packing!!

For weeks I have been making a list of things I need to take to mom's house when the kids and I go on Monday. We will be staying for the week. I have been excited about this trip for awhile. I have already started putting things in bags. Then we decided to go camping this weekend.....So I had to put that list aside and make a list for camping! I have already talked about how much work is involved in getting the camper ready for a trip so I won't revisit that nightmare on here. Let me just say it is a lot of work!! I am excited to go camping though. It is so relaxing and just plain fun! My sister, bro in law and nephew will be joining us since my nephew is coming to our house so I can take him to NC with us for the week. I do not like having one trip right after the other, though. We will be coming back from camping on Sunday and leaving for NC on Monday!! And I just found out that mom is sick!! Some sort of sinus infection or cold. This is a bad time to be sick! So be praying for her and also for the VBS they are having the week we are down there. It is the first one in 35 yrs. I think they are a little nervous about the whole thing. I know I would be!! But even if the gospel is only presented to 4 kids (Michael, Hannah, Kara and Ryan) the entire week it will be worth it!! Now, I have to go get the kids down for a nap so I can take more stuff out to the camper!

we love daddy

Well, today has been a pretty full day. I had to get up early for our yard sale, which did horrbily again! The kids were not far behind me. I took them outside with me so daddy could sleep. Then later in the morning daddy took them to the store with him. Our pastor's ordination was this afternoon. Brad went. I kept the kids at home for several reasons: it was right at nap time, there was no nursery scheduled so I knew I'd be the one in there watching them, and it lasted over 3 hours. So while they slept, I took a short nap and then cleaned up some. We did go up after for the dinner. Then we came home just to hang out. It was too late to go do something but still early enough to do something! I let the kids play in the bath tub while I vacuumed then they wrestled with daddy and just had a good ol' time! Here are some pics of it

I know, we probably shouldn't be doing this but he loves to climb and he did it so well!

when daddy had enough, it was Sammy's turn! She is really good with the kids and I think she enjoys it just as much as they do!

I found my camera!! These pics from Babcock State Park

And that was our day at the park!! We love going to different state parks and hiking, camping, and just enjoying the nature that God has created for us. It is a great (cheap) way to do something fun as a family, get up off the couch and out of the house. These memories will last forever. One day we will be sitting around the dinner table and the kids will say "Remember when.....?" Or tell their kids what they used to do when they were "growing up." GOD IS SO GOOD. I thank Him daily for the life he has given me.

well.........

I was going to post a new blog with pics we took while at Babcock State Park yesterday but now I can't find my camera!! Guess that will have to wait a while. I know it will show up one day! Mom, I still can't find those CD's you made me either but I haven't looked terribly hard this weekend.........
