Cha-Ching!

I had to run in walmart for a few things this evening and they happened to have several $1 clearance racks. So all the clothes you see on me in these next pictures I got for $1 each!!

Mind you, I'm not going to wear this outfits together. The shirts are more dressy and the pants are more casual. I don't know how to explain the pants. They are not jean material or sweatpants. One tag called them porkchop scrub pants. I wouldn't have wore them as scrub pants when I worked at the animal hospital but I guess they are kind of that lightweight material. They were originally $15 and the shirt originally $10!

Yes, you are seeing this picture correct. These jeans were $1!! They only had one pair in my size or I would have bought them all! The shirt was regularly $10!

This picture does not do me justice. I look pregnant! ANyway, the pants and shirt are the same as the first outfit just different colors.

The white shirt I am wearing under the jacket is what I had on today. I didn't buy it today. Same kind of pants as the rest of them just different color.

Even Brad was excited to hear about my shopping this evening! =)

signs from God

I'm sure where I stand on the idea of recieving signs from God but I do know that things ALWAYS happen the way He wants them to and He puts people in the right places at the right time. This happened to us more than once today alone. To keep this short I will try to just highlight the important parts and leave out the boring in-betweens. =)

Brad knew today was going to be a slow day at work so he was able to take the day off with no problems. That, alone, is a miracle! He had 3 trucks lined up that he wanted to look at in Ohio. Seems WV folks want way more than OH folks for big diesel trucks.

It was noon, or later, by the time we got to the third lot to drive the last truck on his list. The salesman Brad had talked to on the phone the other day said he was "lucky" the truck was at that particular lot. It had been at one of their other lots but a man had been interested in the truck so they brought it over to this lot. Luck? I think not!

They were asking more than we wanted to give for the truck but we drove it anyway. Brad is good at getting what he wants out of a vehicle deal. A ways up the road, Brad pulled over in an empty lot to look under the hood while it was running and check some things. An older gentleman across the road ran across and was talking to Brad. I couldn't hear anything being said. If you have ever been near a diesel truck, you will know why. It sounds like a bus! But I could tell by the smiles and chuckles that it was not bad.

Turns out this man was the previous owner of the truck!! Sign from God? I don't know but it helped in our decision to buy the truck! This man said the truck was a great truck, there was nothing wrong with it and they hadn't given him nearly what they were asking for the truck. So Brad felt confident to go back and offer even less for it.

Now can I just brag on my husband for a minute? And ultimately God because he is the one who makes this all possible! The salesman complimented Brad on how well he was doing for himself after all the paperwork was done, talking job and money-wise. Then when we got in with the finance guy, they were able to get us a very low interest rate because of Brad's awesome credit and then to make it even better, the guy took over $100 off our GAP insurance because he likes WV! =) Tell me God didn't have a hand in that! They also said Brad had the best credit score of anyone who had been in there today and by now it was 3 pm. I'm always thankful for what God has given us but it is nice to be reminded of his generosity sometimes! I often think "why us?" but that is a different post altogether.

clearance shopping

This post is mainly for my sister in law, Jessica. So if you don't care about the great deals I found at Khol's today you can move along! =)

These two shirts I got for Abigail to wear next winter for $1.50 each!

Ryan will be wearing this firetruck shirt next winter for a lovely $1.80 and Abigail will be adorning this cute shirt sometime between now and then for $1.30 (it is 18mo so IDK when she will wear it exactly but we do enough things outside at night during the summer that she will have no trouble finding the right ocassion for it).

This was my most expensive purchase for Miss Hannah. She wanted it so I paid $4.40 for it.
Can I just break away from the point of this post to say there is no size between 7/8 and 10/12?!?! I know there is only one number missing in there but it seems like a big jump. I hope a 10/12 will fit her next year bc she is going to have several things in that size.

This adorable long sleeved onsie/dress combo was only $3.60 and will fit Abigail beautiully next winter. If you can't tell the colors by the picture they are blue and pink.

Sleepers. I cannot say enough about this one article of clothing. It is a must in this house until you reach 5 (or you are a boy and refuse to wear jammies). Summer, winter, spring and fall, my girls love these! This was my most exciting buy of the day. These rang up a whopping $2.20 each!!! So I also got one of each design in size 24 month (not pictured). You can't even buy these at a consignment shop used for that price. Cha-ching! =)

And this, my dears, is what it is all about! You do the math. Did I do well? No, seriously, you will have to do the math bc IDK how to figure it out. ;)

I also bought my first pair of fuzzy boots for $9, originally $44.99. I bought a couple things at Old Navy, including a cute pair of boot slippers for Abigail next winter for $1.97.

Friday Funny from Ryan

Ryan is home with me on Friday's. I am going to miss that next year. He is full of funny comments. Here is one of today's:
Ryan: When I am a dad I am not leaving the house.
Me: (thinking he was speaking of his own house) Why not? Who will pay the bills?
Ryan: Me and daddy.
Me: Oh, you mean this house? When you are older you will change your mind. You aren't staying here forever! :)

Love my kids but I am looking forward to the days when it will finally be just Brad and I.

photo shoot

If you know me very well at all, you know that photography is one of my favorite hobbies. Most of the time my subjects are my own children. Do you blame me? They are great subjects to photograph, if I do say so myself. =) Enjoy just a few shots from my latest shoot.

This last one is just to show off her new skill. Just in the past day or so she has been letting go of things to stand on her own. Every time she reaches a new milestone I say, "I'm going to be in trouble soon!" Do I need to say it this time? Or is it pretty much safe to assume I'm going to be in trouble soon! =)
